What Nashville dog parents say
“We absolutely LOVE Pet Resorts in Nashville! We use them for dog daycare, boarding, and grooming, and their team has truly become like family to us. Othe is hands down the best doodle groomer we’ve found in Nashville in 8 years of having our boy. He is so intentional about his grooms and actually listens to what you want. And fellow doodle moms and dads will understand this one: even if our baby shows up with the occasional mat, Othe works with his coat and has never made us feel shamed into automatically shaving him down. 🤠 His doodle grooms are seriously the best. Daycare is just as amazing. Our dog absolutely FREAKS OUT with excitement if we even say the word “daycare.” He’s made so many besties there, adores the team & they are constantly doing the cutest holiday parties, themed treats, and activities. They’re literally having a Dolly Parton themed party for Dolly Day this weekend. Are we joking?! 😂 We also trust Pet Resorts completely for dog boarding when we travel. We get the cutest photos while he’s there, and he comes home completely exhausted after having the time of his life. The guy is a total snooze fest after a day at daycare or a few days of boarding. If you’re looking for dog daycare, dog boarding, or a great doodle groomer in Nashville, I genuinely cannot recommend Pet Resorts enough. We trust them with all things fur baby. 10/10! ❤️🐾”
“The staff was so friendly and they had very reasonable prices. We did grooming for the first time- they took amazing notes, the grooms turned out great (large doodle and long haired retriever mix), and they even gave them both a bandana which is always such a cute plus!!Would recommend!”
“Another great experience at Pet Resorts of America on Charlotte Pk.!! This was our dog’s first time getting a bath after boarding and Ellis looked great and smelled good when we picked him up. He is a high anxiety dog and has sensitive skin and has lost a lot of fur due to an autoimmune condition. It is difficult to bathe him. The grooming staff did such a great job! They trimmed a few mats and brushed him out as well. I can tell he feels good and he really looks so good and clean. The check in and pick up procedures are easy and the staff is always attentive to Ellis’ needs and take detailed instructions to assure he has a great stay. They are reasonably priced also. The staff is always very friendly and professional and we recommend Pet Resort of America on Charlotte Pk for your fur baby!”
Make it a dog spa day
Some visits are maintenance. Others are the works: a deep clean bath and blow-out, a de-shed to clear out the winter coat, a paw-dicure with nails filed smooth, ear cleaning, and a freshening spray on the way out the door.
Book the dog spa treatment and your dog comes home soft, clean, and pleased with themselves — and you skip the wet-dog chaos in your own bathroom entirely.

How often should my dog be groomed?
It depends on coat type and lifestyle. Dogs with continuously growing coats generally do best on a regular full groom schedule with half grooms in between; short-coated dogs often just need periodic baths, nail trims, and a seasonal de-shed. Tell us about your dog and we'll suggest a rhythm.
Groom on the way home from a stay
Bathing services are available before check-out for boarding guests, and a full groom or bath is an optional addition to any All-Inclusive or Standard stay — your dog comes home clean as well as tired.

Grooming requirements & policies
- Vaccines: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella, with proof of vaccination before the first visit.
- Flea and tick prevention required and up to date. Topical prevention may wash off during the bath — ask your vet about re-application.
- No open wounds, stitches, or sutures, and no post-operative dogs without written consent from a licensed veterinarian.
- Matting: we do our best with the brush-out, but we never want to hurt a guest. We'll notify you about mats we can't remove.
Good to know:For the safety of our bathing technicians, let us know if your dog doesn't enjoy being bathed. If a dog shows aggressive behavior or signs of extreme stress, we may stop or refuse bathing or nail services. Bathing can be stressful for older dogs or dogs in poor health and is done at the owner's risk.
Dog grooming FAQs
Who can book a bath or groom?
Anyone. Grooming is available by reservation to the general public — you don't need to be a boarding or daycare client.
How do I schedule a groom?
Call our front desk at (615) 356-6996 to book your appointment.
How much does dog grooming cost?
Nail trims and ear cleaning are flat-rate — Dremel nail trim $25, clipper nail trim $18, ear cleaning $9. Full grooms, half grooms, and baths are quoted by size, coat type, and condition. Call us at (615) 356-6996 and we'll give you a number before you book.
What's included in full-service grooming?
Bath, brush and blow-out; ear cleaning and nail clipping; breed-specific cuts; and optional anal gland expression. Nail file, de-shed, and teeth brushing are available as add-ons.
What's included in a bath?
Bathing services include our HydroSurge bath with hypoallergenic shampoo and scrub, towel dry and warm blow dry, brush-out, and optional freshening spray.
What does a dog haircut include?
A full groom is a complete head-to-tail breed-specific cut, and includes the bath, brush out, haircut, nail trim, and ear cleaning. A half groom is a maintenance trim of the face, feet, and sanitary areas, with bath, brush out, nail trim, and ear cleaning.
Do you offer de-shedding for dogs?
Yes. De-shedding is available as a grooming add-on and is the fastest way to get loose undercoat out of a double-coated dog. It's especially worth booking heading into spring and fall.
What's the difference between a Dremel and a clipper nail trim?
A Dremel grinds the nail down to a smooth, rounded edge, which is gentler on floors and skin. A clipper trim is faster and traditional. Add a nail file for a full paw-dicure. Some dogs prefer one over the other, and we're happy to advise based on how your dog handles their feet.
What if my dog's coat is matted?
We do our best with our brush out to remove mats, but it isn't always possible and we won't hurt your dog trying. We'll notify you about any mats we couldn't remove. Regular half grooms between full grooms are the easiest way to stay ahead of matting.
What vaccinations do you require for grooming?
Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella, with proof of vaccination before the first visit, plus current flea and tick prevention.
Can I add a groom to a boarding or daycare stay?
Yes. Bathing services are available before check-out, and a full groom or bath is an optional addition to any boarding stay. Ask when you make your reservation or call during your dog's stay.
