Why Train your Dog?
To improve your relationship! Training establishes good communications between you and your dog. Dogs are social pack animals by nature and they have their own language to communicate with each other. In order to have the best relationship possible with your pet, it is important for you to understand their language. They will also take comfort and feel more secure when they know you are the pack leader.
Have you seen the shows like "Super Nanny" where undisciplined, untrained children are causing stress and anguish in the household? Always fighting with the parents? It really comes down to a control issue.
The child will continually challenge and test the leader for control so they can have their own way. They will actually train the parent to get what they want. Sound familiar? Your dog will do the same thing.
Training teaches your dog to listen to you and gives you behaviors like “sit,” “down” or “place” so you can redirect inappropriate behavior.
Training not only helps to reinforce your leadership with your pet through communication, but most importantly, training helps to give your dog an abiding sense of security. Your pet will begin to understand their place in the relationship, and how to please the one that provides food, strokes and rewards for good behavior!
If Your Dog:
- Doesn’t obey any of your commands
- Pulls at the leash when walked
- Growls when you try to take food, bones, or toys
- Doesn’t come when called
- Doesn’t respond when you say their name
- Doesn’t sit or stay when told
- Won’t go to “place” (bed or crate) and stay
If You Are:
- Too busy or working long hours
- Don’t have the patience or feel you don’t have the ability to train
- Can't find the time to take your dog to those everyday group classes

You may want to consider signing your canine companion up for one of our training programs. With your busy schedule, it can be hard to find the time necessary to work with your pet.
28 Day Board & Train
All of our commands are both verbal and have hand signals. Your dog will learn:
- Focus (Your dog pays attention to you when you say their name)
- Sit, Sit/Stay (Sit on first command and stay until released)
- Down, Down/Stay (Down on first command and stay until released)
- Come (Come on first command and sit in front of you until released)
- Heel (Your dog will walk on your left side, turn or change pace as needed, and sit when you come to a stop)
- Place (Your dog will be trained to go to a specific spot and remain until released)
PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS
- Board & Train – training sessions given while boarding
- Day Train – daily training classes on weekdays (daycare)
- In-Home Training – personal training for specific behavior problems
- Private Lessons – personal lessons one-on-one with trainer
BOARD & TRAIN PROGRAM
This program is designed for the owner who loves their dog, but simply doesn’t have time for training at home. While boarding, your pet will receive personal training sessions during the day and relax at our top of the line facility for the evening. The trainer will teach the five basic commands and work on any negative behaviors your pet may exhibit. This program has all the advantages of Day Train except your pet stays with us for the duration of the program.
Your dog is boarded and trained daily at our resort for 28 days of intensive training in what many consider a "K-9 Boot Camp" which includes:
- 2 Walks A Day
- 2 - 3 Training Sessions Per Day
- Certificate of Training
- "Owner Training" we will teach you all of the commands and hand signals they have learned and send you home with some tips and tricks to get the most out of the training they have received.
- We will also work on any bad habits, which may include barking, jumping up, biting, or aggression with food, toys or other dogs. If your dog has any specific bad habits that you would like us to work on, be sure to let us know.
- Sent home looking and smelling great with a fresh bath, brush-out and bandana
“Owner Training” on graduation day during which we will show you how to communicate with your pet and get the most out of the training they have received.
BOARD & TRAIN is $795 for the entire program.
DAY TRAIN
This is the perfect option for the owner who wants their pet home at night. You can drop off your pet each morning for our personal trainer to work with during the day & then pick them up in the evening before our office closes. This program is designed for the pet owner who is interested in creating a training partnership between trainer, owner & pet, and will include homework exercises for you & your pet to work on at home. Your pet will learn the five basic commands and we will also work on any negative behaviors your pet may exhibit at home or in public places. The Day Train Program is designed to run for four weeks, Monday thru Friday, to ensure the best results for you and your pet.
DAY TRAIN is $895.00 for the entire program, or $225 p/week.
IN-HOME TRAINING
These lessons concentrate more on specific behavior issues such as shyness with strangers, aggression, destructiveness, food/toy possessiveness, separation anxiety, house manners, introducing a new dog in the family, introducing a new baby, & housebreaking. If your pet presents any of these behavior issues or you just need a hand with the housebreaking process, give us a call to schedule your in-home session.
IN-HOME TRAINING is $125 per lesson, or $500 for 5 lessons.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons can be a very effective way to learn to train your dog. These lessons are for the owner who is willing and able to be very involved with the handling and training of their pet. They can be effective for teaching the five basic commands as well as correcting behavioral issues. We offer packages of five lessons at our facility, or you can purchase one lesson at a time until the results you are looking for are accomplished.
PRIVATE LESSONS are $75 each, or $300 for a pkg. of 5 lessons.
